The Global Love Museum

Museums are about values. They are created to recognize and protect what they find is endanegred, -what should be retained and passed on. Any museum is about continuity. We help love in retaining its paramount role in human existence when commodification trivializes our lifes by the obsessive materialism and selfishness. Our museum assists survival of this unique human value that makes humans superior to any other living beings and at the same time responsible for the fate of the entire Earth.

Any museum collects, cares and communicates the evidence of the values that it dedicates itself to. Thus, we are creating the biggest museum ever! Our museum is as big as our planet. All human beings are unique and all of them able to love, - all precious to each other. Some loves have become memory, others are becoming memory and more will still come. So, living or gone, all evidence of love, all that serves love or represents it as a testimony, - should be made known to others. Love encourages and inspires.

Why love ?

Love is the only perfect communication human beings can achieve. It is another name for the divine, and the true name of freedom. Love has always ignored differencies and boundaries, it has always been above the rules and beyond limitations. Love between two human beings is what gives us the ultimate feeling of fulfillment and purpose. With it we are invulnerable and noble. Without it, we are exposed to insecurity and inhibitions which demean human condition. Love is universal and common to all and everbody, - no matter when and where on the the entire Earth we happend to be. We cannot conceive whether love is the central generative principle of the Universe, but it may well be. Indeed, it is the the only name of the Divine that all humans could agree to.

Our mission

We want to dot the planet with tiny and big institutions dedicated to promoting and presenting love in all its endless manifestations. We want a network of people and places encompass the planet. Departure could be a love legend or a local love story inspiring enough to have entered the collective memory. Our site will become a well-visited spot of the mnemosphere, a forum for those who believe in simple solutions, by knowing that all the problems are due to some lack of love. We wish to add the constant affective colouring to the otherwise gray gray matter of this universal brain.

Defining our only Planet by love museums or by rising walls are probably two opposed visions of our future that make all the difference.

Of course, this project is not scientific and is certainly naïve, but why would this be disqualifying? Our continuous, long-term action plan consists of:

1. turning the web-site into a highly interactive forum
2. helping to establish love museums and visitor centres
3. marking the places of love by plaques and actions
4. organizing the network of places and people
5. starting a niche of tourism as visiting places of great loves
